LAX is where the day ends in golden light over the Pacific, and this coffee is built to taste like that hour: bright, sweet and easygoing, a cup for long mornings.
It's grown by smallholder farmers in the hills of Huila, Colombia, then washed and dried before export. A blonde roast keeps the fruit up front, so you taste honey, citrus and ripe apricot rather than roast.
A starting recipe for this blonde roast. Weigh it once and you'll never go back to scoops.
Preflight checklist
Pour-over · 1:16
Not in caffeine. A blonde roast tastes lighter and brighter than a dark one, and a scoop of it has about the same caffeine, slightly more. For a stronger cup, use more coffee.
Pour-over or drip at 1:16 with water just off the boil, 200 to 205°F, shows off the honey and citrus. It also makes a bright, fruity iced coffee.
It's roasted within days and shipped fast. Keep the bag sealed, away from light and heat, and grind just before you brew.
Whole beans only: coffee stays fresh longest when you grind it right before brewing. Our coffee-to-water ratio guide shows the grind for each brewer.
US shipping is free on orders of $49 or more, which is any 3 of these bags. Smaller orders ship for a flat $6.95.
