MIA is our loudest coffee, in flamingo pink: juicy, tropical and bright, the way Miami feels at noon.
It's grown in Nyeri, on the slopes of Mount Kenya, by smallholders who deliver their cherries to cooperative factories that wash and ferment the coffee. Kenya's SL28 and SL34 varieties are known for intense, juicy acidity, and a light roast lets the hibiscus and tropical fruit shine.
A starting recipe for this light roast. Weigh it once and you'll never go back to scoops.
Preflight checklist
Pour-over · 1:16
High altitude, careful washing and the SL28 and SL34 varieties give Kenyan coffees a juicy, almost berry-like acidity. A light roast keeps it front and center.
Very. Brew a pour-over straight onto ice, or cold brew it at 1:8 for a sweet, fruity iced coffee.
It's roasted within days and shipped fast. Keep the bag sealed, away from light and heat, and grind just before you brew.
Whole beans only: coffee stays fresh longest when you grind it right before brewing. Our coffee-to-water ratio guide shows the grind for each brewer.
US shipping is free on orders of $49 or more, which is any 3 of these bags. Smaller orders ship for a flat $6.95.
